Balance the Budget Without
Tax Hikes
I promised to end deficit spending, and that’s what I did. I delivered 12 years of balanced budgets, and NEVER supported a tax increase. We can balance San Diego County’s budget without tax hikes! I’ve done it before and I’ll do it again. I am the only candidate in the race who has never voted for, supported or endorsed a tax hike and never will.

Unlike some leaders, I can tell you what a woman is (XX), and what a man is (XY). Biological males don’t belong in our daughters locker rooms or athletics. I will fight to defend innocent kids from policies designed to hurt them and deny parents their right to make decisions for their children.

You can count on me to END the Super Sanctuary Policy and fight against “Sanctuary” policies. The County of San Diego is at the center of the administration of justice, making policies that affect the Sheriff’s Department, Jails, District Attorney, Probation and Public Defender. I will fully fund our Sheriff’s and Jails so that they can do their jobs – Stop Crime.

San Diego County has enacted a moratorium
on new home building through the most
restrictive climate policy in the State. New communities must meet regulations so
costly, almost no new single-family homes have been built in the County’s unincorporated jurisdiction, placing the pressure for all new
housing on cities like Oceanside, Vista,
San Marcos and Escondido, creating
overcrowding & traffic, and depriving the
next generation of the American Dream.

Ending
Homelessness
Once and for All
One of the issues that personally drives me, is ending homelessness. You and I both know we
can end homelessness, if we choose to. Compassionate solutions, like shelter, rehab &
metal health facilities are needed, but these
must be paired with accountability.
Housing First is a wrong-minded policy that
forces women and children to live among
addicts – that’s wrong. We’re seeing 300-500
people die each year on the streets of our
County. It doesn’t have to be this way.
Enforcing our laws will save lives and restore
communities.
Preventing Wildfire
and Preparing
for Disasters
I personally witnessed the devastation of the Alta Dena\Eaton Fire. I learned one lesson that I will never forget: The key to stopping wildfires is eliminating combustible material and prevention. Not only will I make sure our Firefighters have the wildfire resources they need, I will focus on creating alternate evacuation routes for Valley Center, Fallbrook, Bonsall, Borrego Springs and our unincorporated communities. Families are counting on government to prevent fire and to lower fire insurance premiums so they can afford fire protection.
